The USS Wasp, a Constitution class Starship in the year 2265, is under the command of Lieutenant Commander Venik, and is charged with a mission scientific and exploration of uncharted space. Long range sensors have picked up a large area of space that Starfleet Science is calling The Vast. Who knows what discoveries and dangers lurk in this vast area of space.

The crew of the USS Wasp comes together on Starbase 17, where they prepare to board the newly refitted USS Wasp and gets ready to depart for The Vast.
