| Personal History | Shirii was born into Andorian Aristocracy. From an early age she had known that a great deal of responsibility rested on her future. Being the daughter of the federation andorian ambassidor to earth and a prominent general in the home guard, shirii was expected to act with grace and poise. Shirii however rarely acted in this manor. Shirii was usually knee deep in scrap engine parts or knocking the antennae off bullies in private school. Despite knowing from an early age she was promised to a wealthy and Influential family unit, she did not relish the idea of"settling down" When she turned 17 shirii secretly tendered her application to Starfleet academy. When she received word that she had been accepted a few weeks later, she packed her bags and left for earth much to the shock and sorrow of her family and bond mates. Shirii's academic career was a checkered one. Despite several initial reports of fights or disregarding campus rules; shirii eventually settled into life on campus and proved herself an exceptional student. Her grasp of warp field mechanics surprised even her instructors. In her second year, Shirii joined the academy flight team. She graduated saleudictiorian of engineering school and was posted to the USS Alabama an aging tinder vessel, where she served as the auxiliary control specialist. A year later she transferred to the USS Saladin as an engineer. Over the next two years she distinguished herself as a talented engineer, earning a promotion to commanding officer of the night crew. Shirii was eventually offered a posting aboard the Enterprise but turned the appointment down not sure that she would do well in the post under the legendary Captain Kirk and Commander Scott. She later requested a transfer to the USS Wasp as her Chief engineer |
